Find out more about MAP by clicking on this link. The NWEA Parent Toolkit was created as a resource and guide for parents. It includes Frequently Asked Questions, Tips for Parents, a list of web sites for parents and kids, and information on Lexile—a tool for measuring text difficulty. We hope you find this toolkit helpful as KPS begins using the MAP assessments. The No Child Left Behind Act was passed by Congress in 2001 and is an extension of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. Find out more about this law by clicking on the above link. Each year the Nebraska Department of Education publishes a "State of the Schools" report for each school district. The 2009-10 site was opened on October 21, 2010.
